Amazing things can happen when you love your work and the people you work with.

At Take Off, we know that our team is the backbone of our company, and we are always looking for talented and driven individuals to join us.

Open roles

  • Senior Cybersecurity Practitioner

We are looking for a hands-on senior cybersecurity practitioner to strengthen, operate, and continuously evolve our security posture on a day-to-day basis.
Following a recent full-stack security assessment and the creation of a detailed findings register, remediation activities are already underway. The new hire will review, validate, extend, and challenge the work completed so far, while implementing additional controls and operational improvements across the environment.
This is not a strategic role on director level. We are not looking for someone who contributes only through governance reviews and presentations. We want a technically strong senior engineer who is equally comfortable working on a terminal and consoles as they are collaborating with stakeholders and leading discussions.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    ● Implement, configure, and continuously optimize AWS-native security controls across the production environment, including GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS Config, VPC Flow Logs, CloudTrail, IAM, and AWS WAF. Strengthen logging
integrity and visibility, establish secure IAM baselines and least-privilege policies, and deploy effective web application protection across all public-facing services.
    ● Driving MFA enforcement across AWS IAM, Auth0, n8n, and the wider SaaS estate, coordinating deployments with
    application owners.
    ● Hardening the FortiGate perimeter environment at Layer 7, including IPS and deep inspection tuning, while rationalizing the FortiClient VPN estate.
    ● Designing and operating a centralized logging/SIEM solution appropriate to company scale, ingesting logs from AWS, FortiGate, Wordfence, Auth0, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Atera (Forestals RMM).
    ● Continuing WordPress production hardening efforts following the Q1 2026 compromise, including Wordfence Premium tuning and plugin/PHP lifecycle management.
    ● Running vulnerability scanning and external attack-surface monitoring programs, tracking remediation progress, and reporting monthly.
    ● Coordinating with the outsourced IT partner (Forestals), who manage the endpoint fleet through Atera RMM, on MDM, EDR, disk encryption, and patch-management baselines across approximately 70 endpoints.
    ● Building and owning an MVP for cross-system offboarding automation, initially covering 5–6 systems and later
    expanding to 12+ integrations.
    ● Establishing and maintaining a centralized vendor security and access register covering external partners (Forestals, Ksolves, Websolute, Bullshark, freelancers, etc.) including onboarding controls, periodic access reviews, and offboarding governance.
    ● Leading the technical scope of an external penetration test planned for Q3–Q4 2026, including remediation activities afterwards.
    ● Evolving the phishing simulation and awareness program using GoPhish (started in March 2026), improving targeting, user feedback loops, and training integration.
    ● Writing concise, pragmatic security policies such as vendor security standards, access-control policies, incident-response procedures, and acceptable-use guidelines.

    What we are looking for

    Must Have

    ● 7+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience. Not pure GRC, not pure advisory.
    ● Strong practical expertise in AWS security, including IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, CloudTrail, WAF, VPC Flow Logs, KMS, Secrets Manager, and security-group management. Demonstrated individual contribution.
    ● Experience administering FortiGate or equivalent next-generation firewalls.
    ● Practical identity and access management experience across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, Auth0, SSO consolidation, and on-prem Active Directory hardening.
    ● Hands-on WordPress security hardening experience, including Wordfence and WAF tuning.
    ● Scripting and automation capability using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
    ● Proven incident-response experience, including containment, malware remediation, credential rotation, and
    post-incident hardening.
    ● A pragmatic, low-ceremony approach to policy and process design suitable for SMEs.

    Nice to Have

    ● Familiarity with ASP.NET / IIS environments (our B2B e-commerce platform stack).
    ● Exposure to Odoo or comparable self-hosted ERP systems.
    ● Security review experience on n8n or workflow-automation platforms.
    ● Hands-on phishing-simulation experience using GoPhish or similar platforms.
    ● Experience with WP Engine managed hosting environments.

    This role does not include:

    ● A C-level executive or board-facing leadership function (the CDIO owns executive engagement).
    ● Ownership of ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification programs.
    ● Day-to-day workplace IT operations, which are managed by an outsourced partner.
    ● Application engineering responsibilities for ERP or e-commerce platforms.

What You Will Find @ Take Off Ltd

    ● A multicultural, enthusiastic, and genuinely people-centered team
    ● A progressive, trust-driven culture grounded in transparency, autonomy, and psychological safety
    ● A workplace that values ownership, flexibility, and authentic collaboration

    structures and career paths
